INAUGURATION OF THE HOUSE SYSTEM AND INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Don Bosco Vidyakshethra conducted the Investiture ceremony and inauguration of the House system at Prakash Palya. The ceremony started at 9.15 am with the school band welcoming Chief Guest Mr. Ganesh ( PSI) Kollegal and Guest of Honors Mr. Shashikumar (RFO) Kothanur, Mr. Raghunandan( CRP) Kothanur, Fr. Victor ( Mariapura parish priest), Sr. Catherine ( Satya seva superior), Fr. Lawrence ( Manager of DBV), Fr. Sebastian ( principal) and Fr. Mithun Dsouza(Administrator), with a procession. At the beginning of the event, the guests released pigeons and planted saplings. The School Leaders and House Leaders were honored with badges, sashes, and plans by dignitaries and their parents as well. The guests addressed the gathering, encouraging the newly appointed leaders to cultivate discipline, bring honor to their parents and learn precious values from the school activities. Cultural programs were performed by students, making the event enjoyable and colorful. The event closed with the national anthem.

10th class SA-1 Board Exam

The SA-1 board exam for 10th class students at Don Bosco School, Prakashpalya, is a critical evaluation designed to assess their understanding of the curriculum covered in the first term. Students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in key subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Languages. Conducted in a structured environment, the exam plays a pivotal role in preparing students for the final board exams. The school emphasizes disciplined study habits, timely revision, and adherence to the exam guidelines to ensure students perform well and meet academic expectations. Results of the exam contribute significantly to their overall academic assessment.


OPEN HOUSE 

On 28th September 2024, Don Bosco Vidyakeshthra in Prakashpalya organized an open house event that provided parents with a comprehensive view of their children's educational journey. The event was designed to give parents insight into the learning methods adopted by the school and their children’s progress in academics. One of the key highlights was the display of the FA-2 (Formative Assessment 2) marks list, allowing parents to evaluate their children's academic performance.

Parents were invited to meet teachers and discuss their child's strengths and areas of improvement. This personalized interaction helped in establishing a better understanding of each student’s learning style, challenges, and achievements. Teachers also elaborated on the teaching approaches and strategies being implemented, emphasizing the school's focus on both academic and holistic development.

Students took the opportunity to showcase their projects, assignments, and classroom work, giving parents a firsthand look at their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and enthusiasm for learning. The event fostered a collaborative atmosphere, where parents, teachers, and students worked together toward enhancing the educational experience. Overall, the open house event strengthened the relationship between the school and parents, promoting transparency and support in the students’ academic journey.

Don Bosco High School         155th Gandhi Jayanthi celebration 

The 155th Gandhi Jayanti, celebrated on 2nd October, was observed at Don Bosco School with great enthusiasm. As part of the event, the students actively participated in cleaning the entire school campus, ensuring it was neat and tidy. This activity was a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and a reminder of his vision of cleanliness, which was emphasized in the Swachh Bharat Mission. The initiative not only honored Gandhi’s principles but also instilled in the students the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings, reflecting his enduring influence on promoting a clean and healthy environment.

Motivation Seminar 

Mr. Rajendra conducted a motivational seminar at Don Bosco Prakashpalya School for 10th-grade students, for there upbuilding of Education. His session focused on inspiring students to stay determined, overcome challenges, and work toward their academic and personal goals. The class aimed to boost confidence and foster a positive mindset.
